What is a Remedial Massage?
Remedial massage involves the manipulation and mobilisation of muscles and soft tissues for pain relief, muscle repair, health maintenance and injury prevention. It is ideal for sudden injury such as a hamstring strain or shoulder injury and also for long-term injury such as neck or low back pain.
A Remedial massage will:
- Prolong your ability to participate in all modes of activity
- Improve your sporting performance
- Lessen the likelihood of injury
- Treat & rehabilitate existing injuries
What conditions can it treat?
It is a technique that focuses on specific injuries such as tennis elbow or sciatica. Our remedial therapists are highly trained to look at your injury and find the causes and not to just focus on the symptoms.
What should I expect during a Remedial Massage?
Our highly trained therapists may use their hands, fingers, elbows, dry needles and myofascial cupping to effectively release areas of tension. A Remedial massage will be more focused on a specific or problematic area in your body. This deeper style of massage may sometimes cause some soreness during, or in the days following the massage. This is simply the muscles releasing stored tension and toxins and will fade within a few days.
